Field test

Tester guide

Thank you for testing. RugLab turns procedural rug designs into 3D visualisations and an interactive cleaning demo. Everything is generated in code — no footage, no stock. Please try the five passes below on desktop and, if you can, on a phone, then send feedback with the form at the bottom. Fifteen minutes is enough.

Rugs are 3D visualisations, not photographs. Cleaning videos are simulated, not footage of a physical cleaning.

01

Browse and open

  1. Open the catalogue.
  2. Filter by a family (Oushak, Tabriz, Kilim, Ersari, Beni Ourain, Solapur).
  3. Open any rug.

Expect: six families, 36 rugs, every card opens its own page with a price and size.

02

Look at it in 3D

  1. Drag on the rug to turn it; scroll or pinch to zoom.
  2. Try Hero, Top, Macro, Corner.
  3. Move the cleaning slider slowly.

Expect: a woven surface, not a flat photo; the dirt lifts along a ragged front; no flicker, no black frames.

03

Clean it yourself

  1. Press Clean it yourself.
  2. Press and drag across the rug for a few seconds.
  3. Listen: is the hiss on? Toggle Sound on/off.
  4. Keep going until the “You cleaned it” card appears.
  5. Press Reset, then Done cleaning.

Expect: spray and foam under the pointer, the meter climbing, a full reveal at the end, and a working Reset.

04

Enquire

  1. On any rug page, fill the enquiry form with a test name (for example “Tester A”).
  2. Send it with a test email or phone.

Expect: “Thank you — we will reply within one working day.” We delete test enquiries; tell us the name you used.

05

Check the licence

  1. Open this sample licence.
  2. Confirm the code on the page matches the address.

Expect: a short explanation of free versus paid exports and a code in the URL.

What to report

For a bug: the page URL, your device and browser, what you did, what you expected and what happened. Screenshots help. For a suggestion, say what would make it better and why. Severity: blocker (cannot continue), high (major feature broken), normal (something is off), low (polish).
